The Phoenix Gaming Expo (PGX), Chennai is underway. ROG Onslaught Dota 2 finals to be held on September 30

The Phoenix Gaming Expo (PGX) which is a part of Phoenix Marketcity and Palladium, Chennai’s September fest has commenced as of today (Sept 28). The expo will feature a host of events, including various eSports competitions, cosplay competitions and more.

In the eSports department there will be a FIFA 18 tournament, and the ROG Onslaught Dota Tournament featuring some of the top Dota teams in the country such as Entity Gaming, LXG Esports, Team Signify and the ROG Titans. There will also be a PUBG Mobile tournament being held at the venue as well. The Dota ROG Onslaught tournament has a prize pool of Rs. 10,00,000, making it one of the biggest Dota tournaments to take place in India, and the biggest yet in Chennai.

Additionally, the expo will also be hosting a FIFA 19 launch event across the three days at the Palladium, where players will have the opportunity to try out FIFA 19 as well.

Several brand experience zones will be available to players throughout the venues featuring not only games and gaming gear for sale but board games and VR/AR as well. There will be plenty of cosplaying at the Marketcity as well.

The Phoenix Gaming Expo will be taking place at both the Palladium and the Marketcity, with the FIFA events and the SONY VR experience taking place at the Palladium, and the ROG Onslaught and other brand experience zones, events, cosplay etc happening at the Phoenix Marketcity. The PUBG Mobile tourney will take place in courtyard.

We’ll be at the event to witness the finals of the Dota 2 ROG Onslaught tournament. There are some big names playing and it should definitely be an intense competition.
