Rip and tear are the names of the game. Well, it is Doom Eternal, but you know what we mean! Every single kill in this game is satisfying, and nothing beats all the glory kills that scream carnage. That said, how you get there in the first place is by choosing awesome weapons first. However, with many guns out there, you might be wondering which one is the best.

They are all good in their way, but here are our picks:

1. The Chaingun

Got a population issue around you? The chaingun is there to make sure everything is kept under control. Before you know it, the demon population is going to hit zero in no time.

The chaingun holds plenty of ammunition, allowing you to mow down an army of angry demons. Even when you go against single high-health bosses, it will still do excellent. However, if you are planning to use this weapon, it is essential to know that it shares ammo with the heavy cannon. In other words, if you are using both weapons, you will have to be a little careful with ammo management. 

2. The Combat Shotgun

The first and the last, the beginning and the end, the combat shotgun is the weapon you first start with, and it can be the weapon you finish the game with. 

Why did we say “can?” While the combat shotgun will not be as enticing later into the game, especially when you are given a chance to use a myriad of other weapons, it is nevertheless extremely useful. That becomes more apparent when you opt for the sticky bomb mod, so grab that when you can.

3. The Ballista

Now, we know what you are thinking. The weapon’s slow, and not many people use it. However, this does not mean that the weapon is not effective at all. Its massive damage compensates for all of that. Plus, with the right mods, such as the destroyer blade, you can easily clear out a wave of demons. Then again, if you love explosions, the arbalest is the way to go.

4. The Chainsaw

You thought we forgot about the chainsaw, did you? Well, we did not! After all, it is one of the most iconic weapons to ever exist in the Doom games. Likewise, nothing beats the roaring of the weapon as it slices and dices through enemies.

Besides the fact that it is extremely fun to use, it is also quite viable, thanks to the plentiful drop of gas to power this destructive weapon. It is also beneficial in many other ways, such as spilling more ammo for other weapons to fuel your need for destruction.

All the weapons in the game are awesome and cater to different playstyles. All you need to do is to grab them and try them all out for yourself.
