League of Legends Odyssey – new Extraction PvE mode

Riot Games are rolling out a new PvE game mode with League of Legends Odyssey, which would be the first since the Star Guardians PvE game mode that came out quite a while ago.

They announced League of Legends Odyssey with an animated cinematic featuring the loose cannon Jinx, and the rest of the Morning Star crew, featuring iconic knock-up duo Yasuo and Malphite. If you haven’t watched the cinematic, you should. Even if you don’t play League of Legends.

It appears that Ziggs is also part of the crew but was missing, which is why he was not in the video. Other champions featured in the video, and also getting new skins along with the rest of the lot, are Kayn and Sona.

The game mode will remain live till the 25th of September, and will involve you battling natives on hostile alien planets in your quest to rescue Ziggs, who crash landed.

The new game mode will have five difficulty levels, starting with Intro, and then Normal, Hard, Expert and the hardest being Onslaught. As you play, you’ll unlock augments for your champions to increase their power. These Augment unlocks are permanent, so if you unlocked it in say a Normal difficulty run, you would still have it when you attempted a higher difficulty.

The following skins will be releasing as well:

• Odyssey Kayn
• Odyssey Sona
• Odyssey Jinx
• Odyssey Yasou
• Odyssey Ziggs
• Odyssey Malphite

Of these, Kayne will be a legendary skin, while the rest will be epic skins.
