According to an official Famitsu report, the game has sold 1,238,358 copies in Japan in its first few days of availability. This does not include digital sales. This is the best Japanese debut for a Smash Bros. game in the brand’s history. Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch sold 278,313 units last week.
