Fortnite crosses 8.3 million concurrent players

There’s no denying is Fortnite is one of the most played games on this planet. But since it’s not on Steam, we don’t really have a reliable to track exactly how many people are playing. Well, Epic Games Korea CEO Sung Chul Park recently gave us a number. As mentioned on Korean site Inven, the game exceeded 8.3 million concurrent players.

Fortnite

Yes, concurrent, meaning at the same time. We don’t really get any more details like we do with Steam stats such as peak numbers, and how long it stayed that way etc, but it’s still a really friggin’ big number. Earlier this year, Fortnite was at 3.4 million concurrent players, so this is absurd growth. We’re sure the number of platforms definitely helps to that end.

Also consider, that PUBG’s peak was 3.2 million in January, and it has been on the decline since. That was still considered massive but it looks small compared to what Fortnite has achieved.

According to SteamDB, there’s around 13 million concurrent users on Steam, the platform. Fortnite keeps growing at this rate, it’ll have more players than the total number of players on the entirety of Steam!
