Acer’s Asia Pacific Predator League 2019 finals in Bangkok

26 shortlisted teams playing Dota 2 and PUBG from 16 countries across Asia Pacific will compete in Bangkok’s national stadium for the finals

Acer’s Asia Pacific Predator League 2019

Acer hoasted 2nd Asia Pacific Predator League will be held between February 15 to 17, 2019 at Bangkok’s National Stadium, Nimibutr Sports Building. 26 shortlisted teams from 16 countries from the Asia Pacific will compete for a prize pool of $250,000. Out of the prize pool, the top three teams of both the games will be taking home $75,000, $30,000 and $15,000 respectively. Additionally, the winners will also receive four Helios 300 Notebook as an additional prize.

The 16 countries which the teams will be representing include Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Myanmar and Australia, in no particular order.

The event itself will start with an opening ceremony featuring a mini-concert from popular Thai idol girl group BNK48. Furthermore, players will get to experience the advanced motorised gaming chair Predator Thronos and Predator Simulator Mobile. There will also be a Case Mod showcase from the Thai master modders who transform the Predator cabinets into their own creations.

Team Signify and Team Raptor are the teams who will be representing India for Dota 2 and PUBG respectively. These teams were shortlisted by the Predator Gaming League India Finale, which attracted over 1,500 players and 36 teams from across India. Here’s a list of the 26 qualified teams for the finale of Dota 2 and PUBG:

President of Acer’s Pan Asia Pacific Regional Operations, Andrew Hou said, “The Asia Pacific Predator League 2019 supports an esports-driven industry alongside the PC games sector, and encourages players to strengthen their competencies by experiencing the raw power of Predator gaming desktops, Motivated and inspired, these top athletes from the Asia Pacific region will be bringing their talents to an apex as they compete for the victory in PUBG and Dota 2.”

Apart from the Asia-Pacific Predator League 2019 games live broadcast inside the stadium and the mini-concert, there will also be some booth activities such as photo shoots of cosplayers and elaborate videogame set designs. Furthermore, the visiting gamers can replenish themselves with the meals provided through a parade of food trucks outside the stadium.
