What To Watch This Weekend: League Of Legends, Super Smash Bros., And Dota 2

It is once again, the end of the week! You made it! And now that you’re all settled in and ready to not go outside because it’s too cold to go outside (it’s not really too cold outside, you’re just used to the Summer weather and don’t want to deal with it getting colder), it’s time for esports!

The League of Legends World Championship is upon is, and before we know will be part of the world’s biggest League tournament, we need to get through some Play-in Knockout matches. Who will make it through? Find out by watching this stream, or hearing about it online or from a friend later! (Stream / Schedule)

Meanwhile one of (if not the) biggest tournament in the Smash competitive scene is also upon us, as The Big House 8 promises to have the world’s best players in just about every entry of the Super Smash Bros. series face off in both singles and doubles tournaments. (Streams and Schedule)

For more fighting game action, you can watch Monterrey, Mexico’s Thunderstruck tournament, which will have events for Street Fighter VDragon Ball FighterZThe King of Fighters XIV, and more. (Streams and partial Schedule)

While you wait for the big Kuala Lumpur major, you can catch some Dota 2 heavy hitters face off in the what will hopefully be the last tournament using the long-in-the-tooth 7.19c patch at the PvP Esports Championship, feature the likes of Fnatic, Team Secret, and more. You can also catch some Arena of Valor while you’re there! (Stream / Schedule)

You can watch several EU Heroes of the Storm teams compete for a spot in the upcoming HGC finals as they compete in the HGC Crucible! (Stream / Schedule)

That’s it for this weekend! Let us know if we missed an event, or if there’s a scene you’d like us to cover, in the comments.
