Red Dead Redemption 2 Has Around 200 Species of Animal, Says Rockstar

Today in News That Makes Red Dead Redemption 2 Sound Increasingly Ridiculous, Rockstar has said that the open world title — which is due out in around a month from now — will feature approximately 200 species of animal. Based on what we already know, the game’s world is set to be impressively detailed and dynamic. Having so much wildlife will no doubt add to this further.

The first Red Dead Redemption was populated by a lot of beasties, including wolves, cougars, bears, and buffalo, but it sounds like the sequel could be way more varied. The developer’s also posted a bunch of detailed animal drawings on Twitter. Above and beyond as per usual.
