Developer Daybreak Game Company have announced that their upcoming shooter PlanetSide Arena will slip further into 2019.

The game was supposed to launch last month, but was delayed until May. Now, less than a month since the previous delay announcement, the developers say they will shift the launch even further into Summer 2019. The plan now is to launch on PC and now PS4 simultaneously.

“After much consideration, we’ve decided to postpone the current PC-only release date and launch simultaneously across PC and PlayStation 4 this summer. We’ve always envisioned PlanetSide Arena as a way for players to experience the epic gameplay of the PlanetSide universe, through fast-paced, combined arms combat and massive-scale multiplayer modes. We believe that delivering the most polished version of PlanetSide Arena that meets these expectations, on both platforms, outweighs any other consideration,” said the company.

Due to these delays and changes in the launch plans, the company is refunding all Planetside Arena pre-orders.

PlanetSide Arena plans to launch with three major game modes: Massive Clash, Solo and Team Battle Royale modes. New modes like Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy, and Global Conquest will be introduced each new game season.
