Destiny 2 Xur location and items, Dec. 7-10

If you played Destiny, you may be familiar with Xur, the weekly Exotic item merchant. In Destiny 2, he’s back, and now appears all over the map. This week, he’s in the Tower. You can find Xur hanging out in the Hangar.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

  • Suros Regime, exotic auto rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
  • Ophidia Spathe, Hunter gauntlets: 23 Legendary Shards
  • ACD Feedback Fence, Titan gauntlets: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Crown of Tempests, Warlock helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Isochronal Engram: 97 Legendary Shards

Xur’s inventory caps out at 581 if you’re at 600 power — one Light above your Collection. He also offers specific rolls on each armor piece each week, giving out different perks for the same pieces. We’ve highlighted any great rolls below.

Suros Regime

Suros Regime is a fan favorite Destiny auto rifle that returned to Destiny 2 in the Warmind expansion. Its first exotic perk is Suros Legacy, which causes the bottom half of each magazine to deal bonus damage and have a chance to return player health on kills.

The second exotic perk is actually a choice between Spinning Up and Dual Speed Receiver. Spinning Up causes the firing speed of Suros Regime to rise the longer you hold the trigger. Dual Speed Receiver causes Suros Regime to deal more damage when aiming down sights but fire much slower.

Suros Regime allows changing play style on the fly, depending on the type of enemy you’re dealing with. There’s a reason so many players loved this gun in Destiny. On top of some great perks, it feels genuinely great to fire at enemies. This is a must-have gun for all players.

Ophidia Spathe

The Ophidia Spathe chest piece’s exotic perk is Scissor Fingers, which lets hunters throw two knives per charge. This exotic is pretty neat, and throwing knives have always been fun to use in Destiny. This piece is also fairly unique, as it lets players hold two charges of their melee ability while also granting them two charges instantly upon recharge.

With the new Way of a Thousand cuts Super added in Forsaken, this is now one of the most fun exotics in the game. If you’re missing Ophidia Spathe, rectify that right now.

This week’s roll: This week’s roll has medium mobility, low resilience and low recovery, with a choice between recovery and resilience. Slot one offer with unflinching bow aim, unflinching fusion rifle aim and unflinching kinetic aim. Slot two scout rifle reserves and special ammo finder. This roll is pretty decent, although not exceptional. If these are your kinda weapons, take a look.

ACD/0 Feedback Fence

The Titan exotics are the ACD/0 Feedback Fence. These gauntlets have the exotic perk Fury Conductors, which causes melee kills to build up energy. When you get hit with a melee attack, you release that energy in an explosion. Feedback Fence got a buff earlier this year, making them pretty useful in the Crucible. While there are plenty of other good Crucible options for Titans, don’t let these completely slip past your gaze.

This week’s roll: High resilience, with a choice between recovery and resilience. Tier one gives a choice between fusion rifle loader, hand cannon loader and impact induction. Tier two offers sniper rifle scavenger and machine gun scavenger. This is a great roll. If you like hand cannons and machine guns, this is perfect for you.

Crown of Tempests

Crown of Tempests is a pretty great Warlock Exotic, especially if you like Stormcaller. This helmet’s main perk, Conduction Tines, causes Arc ability kills to recharge your Arc abilities and increase the duration of your Super — this ability now stacks as well. The only bad news about this helmet is that it needs to be used with Stormcaller, which is a great PvP Super now and decent for enemy clear in strikes and raids. If you don’t have this helmet for your Warlock, you should definitely consider picking it up.

This week’s roll: This week’s roll has high mobility, low recovery, with a choice between mobility and recovery. Slot one offers fusion rifle targeting, hand cannon targeting, and hands-on — melee kills grant super energy. Slot two offers sniper rifle reserves and machine gun reserves. This roll is actually pretty great, especially if you don’t have any helmets with machine gun reserves yet.
