Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Needs 100GB Minimum of your PS4 Hard Drive

Last week, it was discovered that Red Dead Redemption 2 will require 105GB of your PS4’s precious hard drive space in order to install. This was found on the back of the box for the PS4 Pro bundle, but it’s also now been spotted on the North American PlayStation Store:

If you thought that was bad enough, it’s about to get even worse. The back of the retail box for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, as snapped by Charlie Intel, has now shown that Activision’s upcoming shooter will require a 100GB slice of your console’s storage space. If you’re still rocking a launch day PS4 with stock parts, Black Ops 4 and Red Dead 2 will take up almost half of your 500GB hard drive. That’s mad.

It’s fortunate that you’re able to extend your PS4’s storage by either replacing the internal drive with a larger one or plugging in an external drive, because file sizes for high end games are getting pretty ridiculous. The latter option is probably the easiest way to increase your console’s capacity, and these are some reasonable options if you’re looking to upgrade.

What do you think about AAA games taking up 100GB or more on your PS4? Will you have space, or will you need to have a digital clear out? Save some room in the comments below.
